Clyde Afton Olson (Ole, Hap, Harv) of Ogden, Celebrated his 90th birthday on December 28, 2017.
He was born December 28, 1927, in Afton, Wyoming, to Charles Afton Olson and Cecil Cline Olson.
He married Roma Shumway on August 30, 1948, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
He graduated from Star Valley High School and LDS Seminary in 1946.
He was born and raised in Star Valley, Wyoming. He worked on the family ranch as well as other ranches in Star Valley, Wyoming, and La Barge, Wyoming. He worked for the Forest Service at Dry Creek Canyon and Pinedale, Wyoming. He also worked at the State Experimental Farm in Afton, Wyoming, and the Star Valley Cheese Factory in Thayne, Wyoming. He moved to Ogden, Utah, in 1953, and worked for the Southern Pacific Railroad as a Bridge and Building (B&B) foreman.
He retired in 1989, and now spends summers in Star Valley, Wyoming, and winters in Ogden, Utah.
His children and their spouses are, Jerel Clyde and Carolyn (Jorgensen) Olson, and Arlene Olson Kidd. He has seven grandchildren, 19 great- grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
