RIVER.SWAMP.CAVE.MOUNTAIN

What: A touching play about two children who embark on a hero’s journey after the loss of their grandmother. Watch as they travel through environments and emotions in an attempt to make sense of their loss.

BLACK “FURDAY” ADOPTION DAY

What: One-day adoption event to clear the Weber County Animal Shelter. Adoption fees reduced to $50 for dogs, free for cats and $10 for kittens.

COMEDIAN JAMES P. CONNELLY

What: The most-played Sirius XM comedian brings his unique sense of humor to Ogden. In addition to his service in the military and Veterans Day comedy events, James wants you to know he has a very manly voice.

BEEHIVE SHOWCASE

What: Wildcat’s Men’s ice hockey showcase features some of the top teams in the country. Friday night they face Williston State. The No. 1 team, Northern Arizona University, plays Saturday. The Wildcats meet the University of Northern Colorado Bears for the first time since the Bears eliminated them last year.

LIGHT UP THE NIGHT: A BLACK LIGHT IRISH DANCE SHOWCASE

What: Legacy School of Dance presents a unique combination of black light and Irish dance that will transport you to a world of rhythm and light.

MASTER MENTALIST DANIEL SCHAFFER

What: The West’s fastest rising mentalist will wow you with psychic magic and mind reading. He’ll bend metal and shatter glass with his mind, then delve into your innermost thoughts. This is an interactive show for anyone 10 years or older.

ORCHESIS DANCE THEATRE PRESENTS: UP CLOSE 

What: Innovative student and faculty choreography, including a work performed by aerialists suspended from the catwalk.

VOICES POETRY SLAM

What: Tanesha Nicole from Westminster College brings her slam poetry to Ogden for Voices’ November edition. Come early to participate in open mic and stay after Tanesha’s performance for more slam. Slamming poets get in free. This is a free speech zone so there may be adult language and graphic images.

4TH ANNUAL OGDEN BIG LEBOWSKI FESTIVAL

What: For the fourth year, the Egyptian Theater Foundation celebrates the Coen Brother’s “The Big Lebowski.” Watch the movie, wear your best Lebowski costume, bowl and enjoy White Russians with lots of other Urban Achievers. Be at Fat Cats at 5:30 p.m. for bowling then head over to Peery’s Egyptian Theater for the movie. The after party, which includes discounted White Russians, happens at Funk ‘n Dive.

JOKERS GONE WILD COMEDY SHOW

UTAH AUTHORS BOOK SIGNING 

What: Local authors gather to meet you, sign copies of their books, read, and answer questions. Support the local literary scene and find a great gift for the holidays.

INDIGO BLUES AND WARM BREWS
