OGDEN — An early-morning fire in Ogden caused an estimated $4,000 in damages.

Fire crews responded to a call of a structure fire at 557 N. Van Buren Ave. at 4:18 a.m. Saturday, according to a press release from deputy chief Eric Bauman with the Ogden Fire Department

They found a shed in the home’s backyard that was fully engulfed in flames, and crews were able to extinguish the fire within minutes after arriving, the release says.

The shed fire did not involve any homes and was limited to just the shed.

No one has been displaced due to the fire, and no injuries have been reported due to the fire.

As of Saturday morning, the cause of the fire is under investigation, and the cause has yet to be determined, the release says.

A total of 17 firefighters from OFD and the North View Fire Department responded to the call.
